Community volunteers are the heartbeat of Siliziwe Community Care Center. We encourage parents to take on volunteer work when necessary. Our Volunteering Programme will enhance people's interest in assisting and condemning any violence against women and children in our society.

Volunteer Roles We Need
Skills Trainer
Teach bead work, cooking, vegetable gardening, or housekeeping skills to survivors.
Childcare Assistant
Help with children's activities, education support, and safe play.
Fundraising & Events
Organize fundraising events, food & fun fairs, and donor outreach.
Driver / Transport
Assist with client transport, supply runs, and court visits.
Legal / Paralegal
Support with protection orders, legal referrals, and documentation.
Counseling Support
Provide emotional support under supervision of our social worker.
Maintenance & Gardening
Help maintain shelter, playground, and vegetable garden.
Social Media & Communications
Assist with awareness campaigns, photography, and storytelling.

Volunteer FAQs
Do I need experience?
Not always. Many roles provide training. Your compassion and commitment are most important.
What is the time commitment?
Flexible — from a few hours per week to regular shifts. We work with your availability.
Is there an age requirement?
Volunteers under 18 must have parental consent. All volunteers undergo basic orientation.
